Kedron State School offers a wide range of activities for students. A selection of these opportunities include-:
Zones of Regulation
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment where all students feel safe, learn in a supportive environment and are treated with dignity and respect. Our Responsible Behaviour Plan for students is supported by the social-emotional wellbeing program, Zones of Regulation.
Our Buddy Program provides an opportunity for children in the school to have a buddy in another year level whom they may build a relationship and sense of belonging to the school community. Buddy classes meet regularly throughout the term for a range of shared experiences.
Japanese Club
Japanese Club (J Club) is open to students from Years 4 to 6 every Monday in the second break.
Students have the opportunity to perfect their origami skills and create various Japanese craft projects. The art of origami requires fine motor skills and encourages imagination, accuracy and spatial awareness. Relevant Japanese for colours, shapes and folding is used at J Club to reinforce vocabulary introduced in class. It is a great opportunity for students interested in Japan and its culture.
